IOTM
La Oligochaeta está compuesta por los microdrilos en su mayoría acuáticos y los megadrilos en su mayoría terrestres, más conocidos como lombrices de tierra. Este grupo diverso (alrededor de 5000 especies descritas) es uno de los más importantes ecológicamente en sus respectivos hábitats.
El objetivo principal de la Reunión Internacional de Taxonomía de Oligochaeta (IOTM) es reunir a expertos en la materia para intercambiar avances e identificar las lagunas actuales en el conocimiento de estos importantes pero poco conocidos animales, y estimular las sinergias, la colaboración y el intercambio de ideas
El enfoque principal de estas reuniones es la taxonomía y la filogenia de los oligoquetos, pero también se integran otros aspectos de su biología, como la ecología, la faunística, la filogeografía y la biología evolutiva.
El IX Encuentro Internacional de Taxonomía de Oligoquetos continuará con la tradición de los encuentros anteriores y tendrá lugar en San Lorenzo del Escorial en España, del lunes al viernes 11 al 15 de diciembre de 2023 .
Incluirá sesiones científicas para presentar y discutir los resultados de tu propia investigación, así como un taller de taxonomía con expertos en las diferentes familias de oligoquetos. Una visita guiada al Real Monasterio de San Lorenzo del Escorial permitirá a los participantes conocer la icónica joya arquitectónica del Siglo de Oro español (siglo XVII).
Sede
Participants will be hosted at the Royal University Center María Cristina, a private university residence located within the same historical-artistic site as the Royal Monastery of San Lorenzo del Escorial.
This center possesses lecture halls and other facilities to develop the scientific sessions and taxonomy workshop, and individual rooms with private bath.
